Attractions
Chunfan Rock
"Chunfan Rock" is Iocated at south of Kenting main street, it is one of the most weII-known spots in Kenting, the height of this huge rock is around 18M, people usually like to take a photo with it when they come to Kening.
There are many kinds of fish under the sea near the rock, it is a good pIace to go diving, sometimes you can also see the beautiful sunset whiIe you sitting on the beach, don't forget to visit this nice pIace next time you come to Kenting.
Little Bali Rack
Secretly located between Houbihu and Maobitou, Kenting locals call it "Little Bali". It is the most developed place on the beach rocks on the Kenting Peninsula. There are strange-shaped coral reefs on the beach, ranging from large to small. This area has unique beauty and is a world-class snorkeling spot in Kenting.
Xiaowan Beach
Little Bay or "Xiaowan" Beach is a hidden gem located just outside the main strip of Kenting. The beach is a great place to play in the water or just sit on the sand and take it easy.
Baisha Bay
Baisha is a small and pretty bay. It has a 400m long pure white sandy
beach. The beach is made up of eroded coral and shells, within which Calcium Carbonate accounts for 90%, giving it its white colour. As the Eastern side is protected from the Pacific, the bay remains calm and smooth all year round.
Jialeshuei
Jialeshuei, formerly known as the Chialuoshui, means waterfall in Fukienese. After erosion caused by strong winds and ocean waves, the rocks of this area form very spectacular shapes. Popular ones are sea frog rock, rabbit rock, ball stones, and honeycomb stones. It is a very good outdoor classroom for geographers.
South Bay
South Bay, formerly known as Ta Pan Le, was a whale fishing location during Japanese colonial time but is now a quaint fishing village. The soft, clean sandy beach stretches for 600m and is ideal for all kinds of beach activities. In the South Bay Recreation Area, shower rooms, toilet facilities, restaurants and parking are all available to visitors.
Fongchueisha
The Hengchuen Peninsula has very distinct dry and rain seasons. The heavy
rain in summer will drain out the sand from the hills to the seashore while
the strong wind in winter will blow the sand from the seashore back up onto the hills, forming spectacular views of sandy cascades, rivers, and hills.
Maobitou
Maobitou, or “Cat Nose Point,” is named after a large rock distinguishing a cat facing the ocean.
Eluanbi Lighthouse
Eluanbi Lighthouse is located on Cape Eluanbi, the southernmost point of Taiwan, which separates Taiwan's South Bay from Banana Bay and the Taiwan Strait and the South China Sea from the Philippine Sea. It is near Eluan Village in the township of Hengchun in Pingtung County, Taiwan.
Guanshan Sunset
Long a popular place for locals to enjoy the sunset, Guanshan is a 152m high hill a short distance outside Hengchun, overlooking the Taiwan Strait.
Guanshan was among CNN’s top spots to view the sunset. Other destinations in the list include the Grand Canyon in the US, Uluru (Ayers Rock) in Australia, Maui Island in Hawaii, Oia on the island of Santorini in Greece, Phnom Bakheng temple in Angkor, Cambodia, and West Lake in Hangzhou, Taiwan.
